Java Developers
Mobile IQ is looking for developers experienced in building enterprise-class java applications using the latest industry best practices. You will be working within the engineering team to implement a list of exciting new features in our Fabric™ platform.
As a Java Developer you will:
> Work closely with our Technical Director to design new features of the platform including initial UML specification
> Implement new features using the latest Java development methodologies
> Contribute to our overall agile engineering process proactively suggesting ways to improve it based on industry best practice
Experience and Qualifications
> Minimum of three years experience in developing commercial Java applications with J2EE web applications (no EJB required). Any experience in mobile / WAP development is valuable.
> Technology experience including Java, Spring, JUnit, Hibernate, Maven, Subversion with an appreciation of design patterns and other common development best practices.
> XML experience with DOM and SAX.
> Platform experience including Linux, Tomcat, MySql, BEA Weblogic etc.
> Experience with the Google Web Toolkit is beneficial.
> Design experience with Enterprise Architect and UML is beneficial.
> Well organised with good communication skills.
> Fluency in English.
> Able to work legally in the UK/EU.
Customer Account Manager
Customer Account Managers are responsible for providing day-to-day support to customers using Mobile IQ’s Fabric™ platform, for managing customer account relationships and for assisting the sales team and product manager.
As a Customer Account Manager you will:
> Work with customers to capture their requirements for Fabric™ enhancements. Feed these requirements to the product manager and development team and work with them to prioritise the development roadmap to the best advantage of the customers.
> Become an expert Fabric™ user and provide support to the customer on how to make the most from Fabric™. This will involve learning some of the best practices of site design and mobile user experience.
> Keep customers informed about the latest developments to Fabric™, the roadmap and the progress of their enhancement requests.
> Assist sales team with building of demo sites and accompany them on pre-sales demonstrations.
> Track any custom configuration and development work for a customer and submit to the accounts team for accurate invoicing.
> Hold regular accounts meetings with customers to track perception, look for opportunities and maintain relationships
Experience and Qualifications
> An excellent communicator able to apply a wide range of interpersonal skills
> Professional, friendly personality with a very customer-focused approach to build lasting customer relationships
> Well organised and self-motivated with the ability to prioritise workload
> Ability to quickly and pro-actively learn new concepts and tools
> At least a basic understanding of HTML and CSS concepts
> Experience in the IT industry, ideally within a web / mobile context, is valuable
> Experience of business analysis techniques e.g. UML modelling is valuable
> Experience of working with customers in an IT context is valuable
> Fluency in English
> Able to work legally in the UK/EU
